Fun fact - The Lighthouse and the Whaler is named after the classic, Moby Dick.  Based in Cincinatti, OH, their big break came in the form of a Paste sampler CD back in 2009. Oh, how they have grown.

After watching this video, it's clear Hey Rosetta! are deserving of that exclamation mark. The six piece band created the most ambitious and visually stimulating live performance videos we've seen in quite some time. Directed by Noah Pink, the video was shot all around their native St. John's, Newfoundland. "Bandages" can be heard on their new album, "Seeds".

Just when you thought Matthew McConaughey was all muscles and romantic comedies, he goes and makes a video for Butch Walker’s new single “Synthesizers”. In the video, McConaughey revives his infamous character David Wooderson, from 1993’s Dazed and Confused. The song comments on getting older and less hip, while also choosing not to chase trends to remain hip, as McConaughey roams a nightclub full of Snooki and LMFAO look-a-likes.

We'd like to introduce you to our friend Jerome Holloway, though some of you in the Midwest may already sing along to his every word, and swoon over his soulful modesty. He's become known as "the best dressed man in Chicago", and said to sound like Damien Rice meets Marvin Gaye. While shooting a video in LA, he invited us to the set where we enjoyed our very own private concert. Here's the premire of Jerome putting his own spin on Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana".

While at SXSW, we had the pleasure of getting to know Saint Motel a little better. Sitting 'round the picnic table, we talked tour life, favorite LA hang outs, and their new album "Voyeur". The guys (A/J Jackson Jr., Dak, asharp, & G.S.

We were treated to the harmonies of Brooklyn band Conveyor at our SXSW showcase with Proxart. The self-described "band of four gentlemen" were just that - showing us around Austin, sipping craft beers and discussing top 5 favorite albums in their blazers.
