We have the greatest customers on the planet! A very kind fan nominated us for a Shorty Award in Fashion, and we couldn’t be happier about it. The Shorty Awards honor the best in Social Media, and every year millions of people tweet their nominations for their favorite social media content creators. We'd love to join the ranks of past winners, like Conan O'Brien, Sesame Street's Grover, Suze Orman, Neil Patrick Harris and NASA.

Just when you thought Matthew McConaughey was all muscles and romantic comedies, he goes and makes a video for Butch Walker’s new single “Synthesizers”. In the video, McConaughey revives his infamous character David Wooderson, from 1993’s Dazed and Confused. The song comments on getting older and less hip, while also choosing not to chase trends to remain hip, as McConaughey roams a nightclub full of Snooki and LMFAO look-a-likes.

For the love of Legos...and each other. This is the story of Nealey and Walter’s engagement. Made by Firepit Pictures, it sure is one uniquely adorable proposal.

Song - “Don’t Wait Too Long” by Madeleine Peyroux

Film maker and animator Jonathan Chong (aka Dropbear) created a stop-motion music video for “Against the Grain” by Australian indie-folk band Hudson. Chong worked alone, arranging all the colored pencils himself while capturing the individual frames. As you’ll see in the time-lapse, there was no room for error while setting up and very meticulously moving the pencils. A single mistake, and he had to start all over again.

Now that the the presents have been unwrapped, our bellies are full, and the decorations are put away (well, for some of us), it’s time to hunker down and get serious about 2012. Time to set new goals, update your style, learn something new, get organized...the list goes on and on. It’s a clean slate full of possibilities, and we’d like to wish you the very best in the new year!

It’s hard to believe that Hanukkah has arrived, and Christmas is right around the corner. With all the hustle and bustle surrounding the holidays, wouldn’t it be nice to finally take a step back and soak it all in with a fireside cocktail and sweet treats?

Here are two of our favorite festive recipes. So put down the wrapping paper, crank up the tunes (may we suggest 18 Plays: Winter 2011?), and indulge.
